What is Losacar-H?

Losacar-H is a combination medication used to treat high blood pressure. It contains two active ingredients: losartan potassium, an angiotensin II receptor blocker that helps to relax blood vessels and reduce blood pressure, and hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic that helps to eliminate excess salt and water from the body, further reducing blood pressure.

Before taking this medicine

You should not use Losacar-H if you are allergic to losartan potassium or hydrochlorothiazide or certain other drugs. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any medicines.

Tell your doctor if you have ever had:

an allergic reaction to sulfa drugs;

liver or kidney disease;

congestive heart failure;

glaucoma;

asthma or other breathing problems;

gout;

lupus;

diabetes; or

an electrolyte imbalance.
