What is Sitamax 100?

Sitamax 100 (sitagliptin) is used to treat type 2 diabetes. It works by increasing levels of natural substances called incretins, which help to control blood sugar levels. Sitamax 100 should be used as part of a complete diabetes care plan, including diet and exercise.

Before taking this medicine

You should not use Sitamax 100 if you have type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or if you are allergic to sitagliptin.

Tell your doctor if you have ever had:

pancreatitis;

kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis);

gallstones;

high triglycerides; or

a history of alcoholism.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding.
